1. The Promoter

The promoter of this competition is Revelation Improvement Group Ltd, Company Registration Number 16456235, with its registered address at St Bees, West Cumbria ("Revelation Improvement Group" or "the Promoter"). Contact: [email protected] / 07535 678041.

2. Legal Basis

This competition is a prize competition as defined by the Gambling Act 2005 (Section 339). It requires entrants to exercise skill, knowledge, or judgment to enter. This competition is not a lottery and does not require a licence from the Gambling Commission. The Promoter has structured this competition in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, and the CAP Code (Committee of Advertising Practice).

3. Eligibility

3.1. The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over at the date of entry who are resident in the United Kingdom.

3.2. Employees of Revelation Improvement Group Ltd, their immediate family members (spouse, partner, parent, sibling, or child), and anyone professionally connected with this competition are excluded from entry.

3.3. By entering, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you accept these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter may require proof of eligibility and identity before awarding the prize.

4. Entry

4.1. Paid Entry: Tickets cost £4.99 each. A maximum of 25 tickets may be purchased per person. Each ticket provides one entry into the draw, subject to correctly answering the skill question.

4.2. Free Postal Entry: You may enter for free by sending a postcard or sealed envelope containing your full name, email address, telephone number, and the correct answer to the skill question to: Revelation Improvement Group Ltd, Competition Entry, St Bees, Cumbria, CA27 0DE. One free entry per person. Free postal entries must be received before the draw date. Free entries are treated identically to paid entries in the draw.

4.3. Skill Question: All entrants (paid and free) must correctly answer the following question: "In what year was the Gambling Act that governs prize competitions in the United Kingdom passed into law?" Only entries with the correct answer will be included in the draw. This requirement ensures the competition meets the legal definition of a prize competition under the Gambling Act 2005.

4.4. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or submitted by ineligible persons will be disqualified.

5. The Prize

5.1. The prize is a property renovation to the value of £10,000, carried out by Revelation Improvement Group Ltd. The renovation will include labour and materials as agreed between the winner and the Promoter.

5.2. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative, unless the Promoter determines at its sole discretion that a cash alternative is appropriate.

5.3. The renovation must be carried out at a property within the United Kingdom. The winner must have legal authority to authorise renovation work at the property (i.e., be the property owner or have the owner's written consent).

5.4. The scope of renovation work will be agreed between the winner and the Promoter, subject to the £10,000 value cap. Any costs exceeding this amount will be the responsibility of the winner.

6. Draw Threshold & Timing

6.1. The draw will take place once a minimum of 2,405 valid entries have been received, representing ticket sales of at least £12,000.

6.2. If the minimum entry threshold is not reached within 12 months of the competition launch date, the Promoter reserves the right to either (a) extend the competition period, (b) reduce the prize value proportionally, or (c) cancel the competition and issue full refunds to all paid entrants within 30 days.

6.3. The exact draw date and time will be announced at least 14 days in advance via the competition website and by email to all registered entrants.

7. Winner Selection

7.1. The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries using a cryptographically secure random number generator (Web Crypto API — window.crypto.getRandomValues).

7.2. The draw will be conducted live and recorded on video for transparency. An independent witness will be present.

7.3. A full audit trail will be published, including the cryptographic seed, timestamp, total entries, and winning ticket number.

7.4. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the draw result.

8. Winner Notification & Verification

8.1. The winner will be notified by email and telephone within 48 hours of the draw.

8.2. The winner must respond within 14 days of notification to claim the prize. Failure to respond within this period may result in the prize being forfeited and an alternative winner being drawn.

8.3. The winner must provide valid proof of identity (passport or driving licence) and proof of age before the prize is awarded.

8.4. The winner's first name, surname initial, and county of residence may be published on the competition website and social media channels. The winner may request anonymity, which will be respected where legally permissible.

9. Refund Policy

9.1. Ticket purchases are non-refundable once the entry has been validated, except in the circumstances described in clause 6.2 (competition cancellation).

9.2. If the competition is cancelled, full refunds will be issued to all paid entrants within 30 days via the original payment method.

10. Data Protection

10.1. Personal data collected as part of this competition will be processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

10.2. The legal basis for processing is contractual necessity (performance of the competition) and legitimate interest (administration and fraud prevention).

10.3. Personal data will be used solely for the purposes of administering this competition, notifying the winner, and fulfilling the prize. Data will not be shared with third parties except as required by law or for payment processing.

10.4. Entrants have the right to access, rectify, or erase their personal data by contacting [email protected].

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete.

11.2. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in this competition or from the acceptance or use of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

11.3. Nothing in these terms shall exclude or limit the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

12. General

12.1. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated to all registered entrants.

12.2. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, acts in a manner that is fraudulent, unsportsmanlike, or disruptive, or who breaches these Terms and Conditions.

12.3. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12.4. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Complaints
